Alex Verdugo not only likes to play for the Red Sox, he also likes to play in Boston.

The 25-year-old left fielder wore a special chain with the Red Sox logo at a press conference after the second game of the American League Divisional Series against the Tampa Bay Rays. When asked about the chain, Verdugo talked about how much he loves everything about this team and this city.

"It's like a little respect for Boston," Verdugo said after Boston's 14-6 victory.

"I love this team. I love this city. It feels like I've been attracted since I was traded here. I like playing here. I like the way fans are. Obviously, it will get tough. If If you don't act, they will attack you, but I like that. I like that fight, man, "Hey man, what are you doing for us now?" "For me, this is something I like to own. I also have SpongeBob on the back. It kind of just tells me to cheer up and move on. I like jewelry and Boston."

Verdugo is one of the players that the Red Sox acquired in a deal with the Dodgers' Mookie Betts in early 2020. Facts have proved that he is very suitable for Boston, and he obviously enjoys his first playoffs.
